Adelanto is located on US Highway 395, in San Bernardino County, about 20 minutes South of Barstow between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. With an approximate population of 23,419 and situated 2,897 feet above sea level. Part of an area known as the "High Desert", Adelanto is located 195 miles south of Las Vegas, 85 miles northeast of the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, and 147 miles north of San Diego. Adelanto receives an average of 312 days of sunshine per year, with temperatures in the low 20's to high 70's in the winter months, and low 50's to 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer months.
The Southern California Logistics Airport is located nearby the city of Adelanto, Edwards Air Force Base, as well as The Mall of Victor Valley, Jess Ranch Lakes, Victor Valley Community College, Green Tree Golf Course, two movie theaters, Jess Ranch Golf course and the Victor Valley Museum and Art Gallery.
